Peter Stands With Ukraine
After living in Canada for 20 years Peter still remembers bullets as they hit the ground as he fled Germany.
"They fired at me with kalashnikovs, AK-47s. I spent a year and a half in jail because I tried to get away, I was a soldier. We only have one planet, it could all be gone so quickly."
Peter knows what it's like in war and how quickly it can erupt. He knows the difficulty that people face in Ukraine currently, he knows what it's like over there. Peter commented on what a wonderful and safe country we live in here in Canada. It is worth protecting and it is worth remembering the tragedies that some people have faced so that others may never have to.
Peter stands with Ukraine on the side of the 97 Highway, 100 Mile House. Peter is not alone, he is an example of the many brave people who stand for truth and justice and the world we all know in our hearts.
May we learn from history so we are never doomed to repeat it.
Peter is going to come to the pancake breakfast! Come down and say hi, we could all use the encouragement.
You are not alone!
