It has come to the attention of the team delivering food services at The Hills that a number of Facebook profiles may have engaged in the defamation of one of the staff & members on the 100 Mile Rant & Rave Facebook Page on December 17th. An investigation is currently being conducted. Contrary to the claims made on Facebook, the community at large can rest assured that no photos of guests at the Christmas Party were taken by staff and the only photos taken were of the stolen pizza product at the pizza party.
We would like to assure the community that the food services in the old 1871 Lodge building are fully registered, permitted and licensed with a workforce certified as required by BC Legislation. We encourage you to come and see (and taste) for yourself! The member(s) subject to defamatory comments have indicated that they would like to engage in resolution and are actively seeking remedy in light of the situation to ensure Facebook defamation can be avoided in the future.
As such, and further to this cause, if you have evidence of defamatory statements or if you were involved in any defamatory statements yourself and would like to issue a formal retraction of those statements please send those to : mr.ellis.agency@gmail.com
108 Rolling Hills is dedicated to providing a supportive and healthy environment for all who take part in meaningful work opportunities, a reciprocated supportive system and a beautiful and welcoming environment safe from tyranny and oppression, rich with food, laughter and merriment.
The events on Facebook December 17th were very much in contravention to these principles. Rolling Hills looks forward to continuing to serve its members, guests and the community at large. Thank-you to those who have come in to see for themselves. Facebook can be a very discouraging place.
We hope you continue to enjoy and gain encouragement from all that the facility has to offer!
